Gill Hood joined McInroy & Wood in February 2026 as Chief Operating Officer, having previously supported the firm as interim Head of Business Change during 2023. In this role, Gill leads the firm’s operations and technology functions, ensuring robust, efficient and scalable support for the business.
Gill has spent three decades working in the financial services industry. She began her career at Stewart Ivory & Company Ltd in a technology role, before going on to lead Business Strategy and Change at Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. She later headed the EMEA Business Change function for Technology and Operations at BlackRock, delivering complex, high‑priority change in a way that supported strong client outcomes.
Gill holds a BSc (Hons) in Computing and an MA in Journalism (Distinction) from Edinburgh Napier University and is a Member of the Association for Project Management.
