Independent Non-Executive Chairman
David Cruickshank serves as Independent Non-Executive Chairman for the Boards of McInroy & Wood Limited and McInroy & Wood Portfolios Limited. He joined McInroy & Wood in 2022, bringing a wealth of expertise from the professional and financial sectors. During his career, David spent 40 years at Deloitte, where he held numerous leadership roles. He served as UK Chair from 2007 to 2015, followed by four years as Global Chair, retiring in 2020. David was also Non-Executive Board Member of Jupiter Fund Management Plc between 2021–2026 and Chairman from 2023-2026.
Beyond his corporate career, David has been actively involved in global initiatives, including co-chairing the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI). He holds a BCom in Business and Economics from the University of Edinburgh and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1982 through ICAS.
David has been elected President of the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Scotland, a role he will hold for a year from 1 May 2026. David also leads the Boards of two charities: Education and Employers in the UK and the Social Progress Imperative in the US.
