Alastair Maclean will take over responsibility for all operational aspects of the firm when Wendy Ferguson assumes the role of CEO in June 2025.
He graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a first-class honours degree in law and is a solicitor qualified in England and Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.
Alastair joined McInroy & Wood from Baillie Gifford, where he was Director of Group Compliance, Legal and Governance and CEO of its European operations. He previously held senior roles as Deputy CEO and Chief Operating Officer at the City of Edinburgh Council and as a Corporate & Financial Services Partner at Maclay Murray & Spens (now Dentons).
